How the delivery of a Lotus press works. These terms apply together with our general terms of sale and delivery.
This is a translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the Swedish text applies.
We collect the press from the warehouse in Milan, Italy, and arrange transport to the Customer’s agreed delivery address.
Delivery is made DAP, named delivery address, according to Incoterms® 2020, unless otherwise agreed in writing. This means that we are responsible for the transport and the risk for the press until it is placed at the Customer’s disposal on the arriving means of transport, ready for unloading.
The freight cost is stated separately in the quotation or order confirmation, unless freight is expressly included in the price.
The Customer is responsible for unloading and for ensuring that suitable equipment and staff are available at the delivery site. If a tail lift, forklift, crane truck or other special handling is needed, this must be notified before the transport is booked and agreed separately.
The Customer shall ensure that the delivery address is accessible to the agreed vehicle and that someone can receive the delivery at the agreed time.
Carrying in, unpacking, installation, connection and training are only included if stated in the quotation or order confirmation.
If the delivery cannot be completed because the Customer has not met the agreed conditions for receiving it, reasonable and documented additional costs, for example for waiting time, storage or a new delivery, may be charged.
For standard presses, the normal delivery time is 1–3 weeks. The estimated delivery time to the Customer’s address is confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation.
For large-format presses and custom-built presses, the delivery time is set by separate agreement.
The delivery time is counted from the confirmed order, provided that complete specifications and any approvals have been provided and that any agreed advance payment has been received.
Stated delivery times are preliminary unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. If a particular date is decisive for the purchase, the Customer must say so before ordering.
If a delay is expected, we inform the Customer as soon as possible and provide an updated schedule. Changes to the order may affect the delivery time.
The Customer shall check the packaging and the delivery on receipt. Visible damage or discrepancies in quantity should be documented with photographs and noted on the carrier’s delivery document before signing for the delivery.
Transport damage or suspected damage must be reported to us as soon as possible. We handle the transport damage claim with the carrier we have engaged.
Keep the packaging until the press has been checked and any damage claim has been settled. A press that may have been damaged in transit must not be put into use until it has been confirmed that it is safe to use.
The absence of a note on the delivery document does not in itself mean that the Customer loses the right to claim for transport damage. The Customer must, however, help to document and limit the damage.
We are responsible for transport damage that occurs before the agreed transfer of risk. The Customer is responsible for damage that occurs during unloading arranged by the Customer, unless the damage is due to circumstances for which we are responsible.
As a customer, partner or new colleague. We build this together.
